Beauty John Legend und Beast Ariana Grande singen das Titelstück aus dem gleichnamigen Film ... den Song kennt man natürlich von der goldigen Fassung von Angela Lansbury ... auch aus dem gleichnamigen Film ... solide Neufassung ohne Überraschung.

Ik denk dat het origineel uit de originele film, gezongen door Angela Lansbury, niet meer te overtreffen is. De versie van Céline Dion en Peabo Bryson was ook zeker niet verkeerd, maar bij deze nieuwe versie weet ik het zo net nog niet. Ik had liever gehad dat ze er niet zo veel aan hadden geknutseld. Het klinkt een beetje te modern voor zo'n klassiek sprookje. Grande en Legend passen overigens wel perfect bij elkaar. Toch een dikke voldoende.

Überraschungslos schöne Neuauflage anlässlich der Disney-Realverfilmung von "Die Schöne und das Biest", bei der Ariana Grande einmal mehr unter Beweis stellt, dass sie stimmlich auch mit den ganz großen Musikern mithalten kann. Finde, das geht so völlig in Ordnung.

Als grosser Ariana-Fan bin ich sehr enttäuscht. Es berührt mich nicht, und ich finde diese Version sogar recht langweilig, schade. 3*

Nett für den Film, mehr nicht.

...was will man denn an diesem Musicalarrangement gross verändern - geht doch gar nicht - ich mag die Stimmen der Beiden, sie machen das hier ausgezeichnet...

▒ Best een mooie cover door het gelegenheidsduo: "Ariana Grande & John Legend" !!! Afkomstig uit de gelijknamige Walt Disney 2017 tekenfilm: "Beauty And The Beast", die op 17 maart 2017 officieel in première gaat !!! Exact 4 sterren ☺!!!

De krakkemikkerige tekenfilmversie door Angela Lansbury is duidelijk favoriet, omdat daar emotie uitstraalt. Dit is weer net zo glad en overgeproduceerd als de eerdere 'hitversie' van het nummer. Jammer hoor.

It starts off very well. The solo part sound good even though Ariana fails basic pronunciation. It is musically similar to the original but then they duet and it's clear their voices are not a match. Her pop style clashes with his jazz style. Either she is too high for his voice or he is too low for her voice. Then we hit the instrumental part and this is where the song starts to go very wonky. The drums do this strange thing and become a dominant force in the music. And there is a bizarre appearance with an electric guitar in the background that becomes distracting. The ad libs of oohs and ahhs and woahs from the two are borderline pathetic and emotionless. They then resume the awkward sounding duet. When they return to the solo lines the song picks up but then 30 seconds towards the end the song comes to an abrupt pause before the end piano kicks in and the two decide to see who can ad lib the title the best of our time with the music. They then softly wail at the end. Bot a patch on the Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson classic. A soft 6.5 out of 10. Not as terrible as I was expecting but it does make me want to listen to Celine and Peabo to cleanse the listening palate.

Nett gesungen von beiden - mehr aber auch nicht.

Eigentlich ganz passabel gecovert, aber nicht so stark wie Celine & Peabo!

Bäh, eine Ballade die auch schon 40 Jahre auf dem Buckel haben könnte. Tatsächlich immerhin schon 26 Jahre hat sie(das Original). Das hätte ich jetzt nicht von Frau Grande erwartet. Sie singt das richtig gut. Auf solche schmonzetten stehe ich überhaupt nicht. Immerhin etwas erträglicher als Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson.

Adäquate Version.
Dass man den Film jedoch "schwulen ähnliche Szenarien" nachhustet, finde ich massivst lächerlich.

Passable Version des Disney-Songs.

Nur Kamala bislang mit einer 5. Weihnachtliche Milde lässt mich ihr beispringen, zumal ich beide Beteiligten hier (wenn auch aus unterschiedlichen Motiven) mag.

Klingt ganz okay

It was always going to be hard to top an already loathed track for me and was hoping Ariana could bring some life to a dour affair.

John will always be attached to his trademark but Ariana sounds reserved and held back on this which was disappointing.
