Dolly war seinerzeit eine von vielen großen Stars, die zumindest für vereinzelte Songs auf der Disco-Welle mitsurfte. Die Effekte im Hintergrund ließen jeglichen Country-Touch verschwinden. Da wurde sogar eine Maxi-Single (pinkes Vinyl!) angefertigt und # 15 in den Disco-Charts war das Ergebnis.

Dolly's Stimme passt zwar nicht wirklich zum Disco-Sound, aber trotzdem macht sie ihre Sache hier recht gut. Mag ihre Countysachen aber lieber!

Tempo gut, allgemein ordentlich, wenn auch schon gewöhnungsbedürftig..der Titel ist hier eigentlich programm.

Dolly als Disco-Performerin: ein ungewohntes Setting, welches jedoch bestens zum Zeitgeist der späten Siebzigerjahre passte. Eine süffige Uptemponummer mit ein paar ploppigen Synthigadgets und einem stringent vorwärts treibenden Beat. In effizienten zweieinhalb Minuten ist alles Notwendige (inkl. Halbtonschritt) gesagt, um mir die Höchstwertung zu entlocken. Cool!

Ach Dolly und ihre so spezielle Stimme - ich mag sie - auch mit diesem ungewohnt flotten Titel entlockt sie mir ein Schmunzeln.
Schönes flottes Stück.
