Nicht schlecht. Gefällt mir, es ist Musik und nicht irgendwas elektronisches und monotones. Cool gemacht, bin gespannt. Vorerst fehlt doch noch ein Stück für die Höchstnote aber knappe 5* kann ich bereits geben.

Drake ist momentan in seiner kommerziell stärksten Zeit und das zurecht. Musikalisch war er nie so gut wie zurzeit!
"One Dance" ist total eingängig, gefällt mir noch fast besser als "Hotling Bling"...5*-

edit: Eine Nummer welche mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf geht. Eine seiner Besten!! 5*+!!

Besser als "Pop Style", welches ja gleichzeitig mit "One Dance" releast wurde. Liegt aber vielleicht daran, dass "One Dance" eher die Pop-Schiene fährt und noch Kyla featured, welche eine gute Stimme hat. 4+*

edit: Nun endlich rauf auf die 5*. Zurecht ein grosser Hit - auch für mich sein bisher bester Track.

Der Beat im Hintergrund erinnert seeehr stark an "Sorry" (Justin Bieber). Trotz alledem bleibt dieser Song hier im Ohr, von daher 4*

gar nicht mal gut! gefällt mir sogar noch schlechter als hotline bling!
sehr billiger soca/ dancehall-beat und schläfriger gesang. das ganze ist alles andere als innovativ, überaus langweilig und austauschbar und weit unter drake's niveau!!!

I think I prefer Drake's more eclectic songs; this one reminds me of Major Lazer but it is rather similar to "Hotline Bling" in its own way as well. Although that combination should pretty much equal guaranteed hit, it still feels like an unconventional chart hit to me. 3.75

Drake ist auch so ein Name, der mittlerweile schon sowas wie Star-Status erlangt hat und bei dem ich mir einfach immer nur die Frage nach dem Warum stelle. Für mich zumeist sehr stromlinienförmige, belanglose und fade Musik, so auch hier. Ganz nettes Beat-Geklimper, aber null Überraschungs- oder Unterhaltungswert.

Geen fan van Drake maar deze is niet zo slecht

It was hilarious seeing Mr Fantano dig in to this one on his track review for it, because he really went at this in a way he usually doesn't. Even when he reviews music he doesn't like, he is still usually nice-ish about it, and doesn't get too visibly angry. But, no, not the case here, calling this song in particular "trash" and "crap". And this is coming from someone that really liked the mix-tape Drake dropped last year and having "Hotline Bling" in his top 10 singles of 2015.

I find this all very funny because as it turns out, I'm enjoying this one at the moment. A smooth tune, which I can totally see myself chilling to in the months to come. I just love those little guitar picks towards the back-end of the chorus, something minor, but adds to the experience all together.

If anything, I'd say this is what I wish "Hotline Bling" was but wasn't. I came to the view that the beats and production on that were excellent, but were dragged down so much by the awful lyrical content that it was something I couldn't stand to listen to anymore. Since I can now just listen to the Timmy Thomas original at the 1.25 speed on YouTube, that song became pretty much irrelevant for me.

But I have no such qualms with this. Just a fun little dance number.

Drake is lekker bezig. En ik ga hier best lekker op. Gezien het aantal Spotify-plays kan dit nog wel eens een grote hit worden.

Schon ein bisschen langweilig, vor allen Dingen der eintönige Gesang von Drake! Da fand ich "Hotline Bling" aufregender!

Strange and it could quite as easily be a Kanye track thanks to the amount of auto tune but it's a nice pop diversion for him.

Bumped up to a five, I have only truly begun to appreciate this properly after it's global domination. Ridiculous chart runs worldwide though, hmm. To me this is 2016 in a song.

Ik snap niet waarom de muziek van Drake het Nederlandse publiek zo aantrekt. Dit nummer is eentonig en irritant en het verdient het gewoon niet om zo'n gigantische hit te worden dat het ook nog eens op nummer 1 terecht komt (waarschijnlijk ook in de Top40 binnenkort). Net niet slecht genoeg voor de minimale score, maar het scheelt niet veel.

Drake hat schon einige starke Songs herausgebracht (Hotline Bling, Take Care, Just Hold On We're Going Home z.B.). One Dance ist eine weitere Bereicherung in seiner Diskografie. (5*)

Auch ich verstehe den Erfolg nicht. Dafür ist das Stück viel zu langweilig.

Alweer brengt Drake een toffe plaat uit.

Ein tanzbares Stück mit süsslichem Frauengesang, das scheinbar auf das Kyla-Stück Do You Mind aus den späten Nullerjahren zurückgreift, 2.75…

Deze plaat heeft een heerlijk zomerstintje, en daar hou ik wel van. Meer dan verdient op de eerste plek. Dat mag zeker nog een paar weken duren.

Knochentrocken und ziemlich seicht. Die Chartsspitze ist dafür sicher der falsche Ort.

Eine der schlechtesten Nummern, die es je auf die Nummer 1 geschafft haben.

Mal sehen, ob ich mir den Song schnell überhöre.
Wäre schade, denn er gefällt mir für den Anfang sehr gut, obwohl ich Drake nicht wirklich höre.

Insgesamt waren es dann 1,4 Milliarden (!) Streams bei Spotify. #2 hinter Ed Sheeran.

Enjoyable track from Drake, despite being a non-rap track from him. Everything here just works so well together, and Kyla has such a good voice.

Drake heeft in het verleden wel al een paar nummers gehad die me wisten te bekoren maar dit is toch maar heel matig werk dat gerust in Amerika had mogen blijven steken.

Genau, so sehe ich es auch. Ich habe nicht die geringste Ahnung, wieso das so ein weltweiter Hit ist. Eine langweilige Nummer ohne Melodie. Kann das mit rechten Dingen zu und her gegangen sein? Das hat mehr Verschwörungstheorienpotential als die Nasa-Mondlandung und die Ermordung von JFK zusammen... Knappe 2.

I'm still not a huge fan of his voice but that chorus really is quite good, and the beat is rather infectious. Probably my favourite track of his as the lead artist and I'm quite happy if this ends up the ARIA EOY #1.

I have no idea how I've rarely encountered a song which spent 13 weeks at #1 in my country, yet remember Hotline Bling been astonishingly inescapable, when it only hit #14 and disappeared after 5 weeks. That makes no sense to me.

What a bizarre song, I've managed to almost completely avoid it, hearing it for the first time at the end of August. Weird for one of the biggest selling tracks of the year. Other than that it's average.

Now that I've listened to it a bit more, it's rather good.

Actually better than I anticipated prior to hearing it. I thought it was gonna be another generic edm track based on the title and the fact it was no. 1 for so long. But I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the fact it's kinda unique sounding and something a bit different. That's not to say I like it though because it's still not exactly my type of music.

One of the best of 2016!

This was the first song to ever be streamed a billion times on Spotify, and it's pretty befitting of the landscape in that regard. Not because it's in any way grand or exceptional, but for the very fact that it ISN'T grand or exceptional. It's a song that pretty much passes through you carelessly, not even cracking the 3 minute mark and never doing anything too egregiously confronting (unless you find Wizkid's verse that sounds like it's in a foreign language, but isn't, confronting). And honestly it's a pretty meaningless song that's built around a sample not to provoke some sort of lyrical play, but because it fits in pretty well with this trendy bit of dancehall and makes for good contrast to Drake's low-charisma performance. There's something amusing about this being the biggest hit of Drake's career when it wasn't even the biggest Drake song of the week when it first came out. Though I suppose that's what happened to "Hotline Bling" the previous year as well. Eh, the song works best if you don't try to wring any brilliance out of its success. 3.9

Ich mag Drake nicht wirklich. Ist mir zu minimalistisch und ich mag seine Stimme nicht. Völlig überbewertet meiner Meinung nach.
Aber diese Nummer ist interessant und bleibt hängen

Das ist mir schlicht und ergreifend einfach zu monoton, uninteressant und einschläfernd. Man hat sogar das Gefühl, dass sich Drake von seiner eigenen Musik langweilt.

Einer der größten weltweiten Hits der letzten 10 Jahre und wenn es im Club mal läuft sorgt das auch für Stimmung aber für mich war es nie der ganz große Kracher.

Never got into this - Kyla's hook drives me mad, and Drake is only barely tolerable in this.

Never really warmed to this and it hasn't changed, it's decent enough though.
