Ich mag beide Künstler sehr und auch diese Ballade ist mir auf Reba's Best Of sofort aufgefallen. Schön!

Kein Wunder, der Song war ja auch zum x-ten Mal für beide Künstler eine #1. Eine schöne Schnulze, glänzend gesungen.

Na, wenn das nicht sentimental ist. Damals hatte er wohl Amy Grant noch nicht entdeckt.
Der Song wurde von niemand anderes geschrieben, als von Kim Carnes(!)

na, DAS dürfte mächtig tantiemen in die kasse von kim carnes gespült haben...
reba mcentire knödelt, jammert und winselt für meinen geschmack einen winzigen hauch zuviel und schrammt daher an den 6 punkten vorbei.
von kim carnes mit dunkler raspel-rauch-und reibestimme interpretiert, wären es bestimmt volle 6 punkte geworden.

Gepflegte Langeweile.
Im Grenzbereich zwischen 4 und 5 runde ich dieser sämigen und zugegebenermassen auch etwas langweiligen US-Ballade aus Sympathie für Komponistin Kim Carnes sowie die zwei am Duett beteiligten Stimmen auf. Reba McEntire kommt hierbei markanter zur Geltung als Vince Gill. Eine schöne Schnulze!
