alter, das ist ja wohl nur geil. die snakehips kannte ich bis anhin gar nicht, ein producer duo aus london. da holen sie sich tinashe und den chance für die vocals. überragend!

I like this now, one of the best Top 10 hits in a long time.

As a side note, I should say that this doesn't at all sound like a Triple J song, but it is. I don't know, it just feels too commercial to be on there.

In the same sort of field as Here, and I don't know which of the two I like better. Tinashe's inclusion in this probably gets this over the line but both are solid tracks. I too am surprised at this being a Triple J track but I'm happy it is as it gives me a track to actively support in the Hottest 100. I'm very glad Tinashe finally has a top 10 in this country too, in fact I'd say this is one of the better tracks to make the top 10 in the near past. 4.5*

Von den Snakehips habe auch ich bisher noch nie etwas gehört, ähnlich bei Chance The Rapper, wobei ich den nur von der Zusammenarbeit mit Justin Bieber kenne.

Tinashe ist mir da deutlich geläufiger. Ich mag sie extrem, sie ist enorm sexy, ihre Stimme ist cool, sie ist eine geniale Tänzerin und irgendwie hat sie was, was mich einfach fesselt. Ich denke, es ist nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis auch sie richtig gross rauskommt. Wer weiss, vielleicht gerade mit dieser Nummer .. ?

Ich mag den Track extrem, tolle Produktion, tolle Tinashe, welche mit ihrem Sexappeal in ihrer Stimme alles einfach speziell macht und im Refrain, wos klingt als wäre ein Chor dahinter, ist das Ganze einfach nur wunderschön. Auch Chance The Rapper singe ganz ansehnlich und harmoniert sehr gut mit Tinashe.

Ein Track der zum zurücklehnen, Augen schliessen und relaxen einlädt. Well done an alle beteiligten. Bitte im Radio spielen !! Für mich ganz klare 6*
Das neue Jahr fängt aus musikalischer Sicht auf jeden Fall schon mal gut an .. :)

▒ Mij bevalt dit plaatje en samenwerking uit begin november 2015 door het Britse duo fomatie: "Snakehips", bijgestaan door de 22 jarige Amerikaanse zangeres, model, actrice, producer en songschrijfster: "Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe", en de 22 jarige Amerikaanse hip hop zanger uit Chicago: "Chancelor Bennett", alias: "Chance The Rapper" !!! Met gemak 4 sterren dus ☺!!!

Hick-Hack-Beat, 08/15 Rap, langweiliges Gesäusle und ein sich x-fach wiederholender "Refrain": "belanglos" trifft's mal wieder optimal...

Der Refrain gefällt...

Eerst vond ik het een irritant nummer, daarna vond ik hem nogal saai, en nu moet ik eerlijk zeggen dat hij wel gaat. Het refreintje is best catchy en de slome beat is best aan te horen, maar echt bijzonder vind ik het allemaal niet.

Finde diese Nummer wirklich cool und angenehm entspannt produziert, auch Refrain sowie die gesungenen Parts gefallen mir gut. Den Rap hätte man sich hier aber sparen können, stört mich hier nur.

Ganz gute 4.

An interesting collaboration which has really worked well (despite CTR sounding a bit out of place at times), and I'm glad this was successful both on the ARIA charts and Triple J.

Ja dit plaatje kan mij ook wel smaken. Simpel maar doeltreffend met het koortje als hoogtepunt.

Hm, ich hatte immer Snakeships gelesen... Einige Wochen klassiert, aber leider kein grösserer Hit hierzulande. Schöner Refrain, angenehm-ruhiges Liedchen, hübsche Melodie, abgerundete 4.

I am a fan of this... easy to sing along to.

I didn't realise the irony of this at first but once I did I developed a strong appreciation for this. The production was just too smooth for me to not really love in the first place.

The juxtaposition of "Forever (Pt. II)" and this is really quite fascinating. The moody electronic/hip-hop production and dark lyrics found here is quite a departure from the upbeat nu-disco production of the former track.

Basically this is a darker "Here", one with a much more destructive narrative. A song that reflects upon the partying/clubbing lifestyle that many have that is ultimately very destructive. It's a very reflective song which is very appealing to me. I do love the way both Tinashe and Chance describe in detail what they're doing as part of this lifestyle, the reasons for indulging in things like alcohol and drugs while also making a statement of how much it sucks. Not as destructive as the content found in this song, but at the time of this becoming a hit I was often feeling sometimes that a night out clubbing wasn't all that good an experience and wondering why I didn't just stay at home instead. Especially when you have to be around tons of drunk people and you're not much of a drinker... In 2016 I only went to a nightclub four times and I enjoyed the night all four times, while also starting to drink a little more when at nightclubs and parties, so that issue has largely gone away.

So yeah I think this is pretty brilliant lyrically and a rather insightful look at the topic. It helps that Tinashe and Chance The Rapper do a brilliant job here too, along with the production from Snakehips. Became a big hit in Australia and deservedly so.

Durch den Refrain besser als eigentlich.

Such a groovy electro R&B song

Bis zum Refrain eine 08/15-R&B-Nummer, aber der Refrain reißt einiges raus.
